Hygienist

Smile Designers is in search for an RDH to work 1-4 days a week. Available days for hire are Mon, Tues, Wed. You are welcome to chose any or all days available. We welcome NEW GRADUATES and will are willing train you. We are an experienced, upbeat, busy, private family practice located in Longmont, CO. WE DO NOT SCHEDULE ACCELERATED HYG. We feel longer appointments with one on one care gives each patient the proper care and personal attention they need.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Stay on schedule
*SRP’s
*Make every patient feel comfortable and at ease.
*Perform manual and ultrasonic scaling.
*Provide accurate non-surgical periodontal therapy.
*Administer local anesthesia, as necessary.
*Conduct hard and soft tissue charting and document clinical notes using dental software.
*Educate patients about proper oral care following each hygiene treatment procedure.
*Assist and guide patients to schedule and complete necessary follow up treatment.
*Take x-rays, as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*Colorado state certification/licensure as required to work as a Dental Hygienist.
*Current certification to administer local anesthesia.
*Xray certification.
*Knowledge of sterilization protocol and OSHA guidelines.
*Experience with Dentrix and Dexis software & Intra-Oral camera is a plus.
*Must possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, reliability and flexibility.
*Ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail oriented, friendly, and exercises good judgement while providing outstanding patient care.
