Julie Whiteley, BS, RDH once said "You can walk a mile in a pair of dress shoes, but you’d likely get there faster and more comfortably in sneakers!". Do you ever think to yourself: "I can scale this whole mouth with this ONE instrument"?!? Well, you might just be walking a “mile in a pair of dress shoes". Just because something may be possible, it also can have long lasting effects on your instruments, your patient and YOU. This course will help you identify the armamentarium, techniques and evidence based research that supports YOUR ergonomic health and can impact YOUR delivery of dental hygiene therapy.

About the presenter:
Melia Lewis a proud clinical dental hygienist in Utah. She grew up in the dental world and has always had a love of science and the human body. She graduated from dental hygiene school in 2009 and has been working clinically or as an adjunct professor at different universities ever since either in Canada or the USA. She is cofounder of Hygiene Edge, an online education platform full of helpful tips and tricks to make dental professionals' lives a little bit easier. She has a passion for education and empowering dental hygienists to be their best. When she’s not talking about dentistry, she’s planning her next trip either out of the country or to a National Park.
